Electric Pulse Beneath the Monsoon Rain
Rain lashed against the heavy aluminum exterior of the vanity van like a relentless rhythmic percussive assault, drowning out the distant, chaotic shouts of the film crew packing up equipment for the night. Inside, however, the world had shrunk to a breathless, suffocating bubble of amber light and shadow. The overhead halogen bulbs had blown out minutes ago during a sudden power surge, leaving only the warm, flickering glow of the Hollywood-style mirror bulbs framing the vanity desk.

The air was thick, heavy with the scent of sandalwood cologne, rain-dampened leather, and the magnetic, intoxicating friction of two men who had spent the last twelve hours pretending to be enemies on screen, while quietly going out of their minds with a completely different kind of fixation off-camera.

Teja Sajja stood near the small kitchenette counter, his fingers tracing the rim of a paper cup filled with black coffee that he wasn't drinking. His pulse was a frantic, hammering bird trapped in his throat. Every time the generator outside hummed, or the thunder rattled the windowpanes, his gaze snapped toward the shadows near the wardrobe rack.

Tiger Shroff was there. He had stripped off the heavy, sweat-soaked leather harness and costume jacket from their afternoon action sequence, leaving only a charcoal-gray, fitted tank top that clung shamelessly to the hard lines of his chest, shoulders, and the sharp V of his waist. He was leaning casually against the wooden doorframe, one long leg crossed lazily over the other, watching Teja with a gaze so dark, heavy, and undisguised that it felt like a physical touch.

"You're awfully quiet tonight, Teja," Tiger’s voice cut through the ambient roar of the storm. It was a low, velvet purr, vibrating in the narrow space, rich with an underlying heat that made Teja’s stomach flip violently.

Teja swallowed hard, his throat dry. He didn't turn around immediately, needing the barrier of the counter to keep his knees from buckling. "There's nothing to say. The director called a wrap. We're free until dawn."

"Are we?" Tiger murmured.

The soft scuff of sneakers against the carpeted floor signaled Tiger’s approach. Teja didn’t move, but every nerve ending in his body flared to life, tracking the invisible wake Tiger left in the air. The temperature in the van seemed to spike ten degrees with every measured step Tiger took closer.

When Tiger finally stopped, he was standing entirely too close. Teja could feel the radiant body heat rolling off him, a fierce, primal warmth that contrasted sharply with the chilly monsoon draft seeping through the window seals. Tiger didn’t touch him—not yet—but the threat of his proximity was heavier, more agonizing than any direct shove.

"You've been avoiding me between takes today," Tiger whispered, his breath brushing the shell of Teja’s ear. He had closed the distance silently. "Every time I looked at the monitor, you were looking away. Why?"

Teja turned slowly, his heart hammering violently against his ribs. He found himself trapped between the edge of the counter and Tiger’s broad, solid frame. Tiger’s hands were braced on either side of Teja’s hips, caging him in without actually making contact. The space between them was charged with a static electricity so intense it made Teja’s skin prickle.

"I wasn't avoiding you," Teja lied, his voice breathless, betraying the very denial he tried to project. He lifted his chin, forcing his dark eyes to meet Tiger’s intense, predatory gaze. "I was just... focusing on the character."

A slow, devastating smile curved the corners of Tiger’s mouth. He leaned in just a fraction closer, his chest nearly brushing against Teja’s. "Right. The character who hates my guts. Is that why your hands were shaking during our confrontation scene?"

Teja opened his mouth to retort, to find some sharp defense, but the words died instantly when Tiger finally broke his self-imposed restraint.

Slowly, deliberately, Tiger raised one hand. His long, calloused fingers brushed against Teja’s bare shoulder, sliding up the slope of his collarbone with agonizing slowness. The contact was feather-light, yet it sent a searing, molten jolt straight down Teja’s spine. Teja gasped softly, his eyes fluttering shut for a fraction of a second as his body instantly betrayed him, arching almost imperceptibly toward the touch.

"Don't," Teja breathed, though there was zero conviction in the syllable. It sounded more like an invitation.

"Don't what?" Tiger murmured, his thumb tracing the sensitive hollow right below Teja’s jawline, feeling the erratic, wild beat of the pulse there. "Don't touch you? Don't look at you the way I've been dying to all week?"

Tiger’s voice dropped an octave, rough with a raw, pent-up hunger that made Teja’s knees weak. The dim amber light caught the sharp planes of Tiger’s face, casting deep shadows beneath his cheekbones, making him look like some fallen deity trapped in the storm with him.

"You're dangerous, Tiger," Teja whispered, his fingers gripping the edge of the counter behind him so hard his knuckles turned white. He tilted his head back, giving Tiger unhindered access to his neck, unable to fight the magnetic pull any longer. "We're on set. Anyone could walk in."

"The door is locked, Teja," Tiger replied, his gaze dropping slowly to Teja’s parted lips before snapping back to his eyes. "And right now, I don't give a damn about anyone else."

Tiger’s other hand moved, sliding warm and firm around the back of Teja’s neck, his fingers tangling into the soft strands of dark hair at the nape. The grip was secure, possessive, anchoring Teja completely. Tiger leaned in until their noses brushed, the shared air hot and heavy between them.

Every breath Teja took was filled with Tiger’s scent. Every muscle in Tiger’s lean, sculpted body radiated a desperate, tightly coiled tension. They were standing on the absolute edge of a precipice, and both of them knew that one push would send them tumbling into a freefall from which there was no return.

"Tell me to stop," Tiger whispered against Teja’s lips, his voice raw, rough with an ache that mirrored Teja’s own. The friction of their breath against each other was intoxicating. "Say the words, Teja. Look me in the eye and tell me to walk away right now."

Teja’s eyelids felt heavy, his chest rising and falling in rapid, shallow staccato breaths. He looked up into Tiger’s eyes—dark, magnetic, burning with an absolute wildfire of unspoken desire. The temptation to cross the final boundary, to surrender completely to the intoxicating gravitational pull between them, was blinding.

Instead of speaking, Teja let out a shaky, trembling exhale. Slowly, deliberately, he raised his hands, sliding his palms up over Tiger’s broad, hard shoulders, feeling the sculpted muscles bunch and contract beneath the thin cotton of the tank top. He let his fingers trace the heated expanse of Tiger's upper back, pulling him just a millimeter closer, closing the final, agonizing fraction of space left between them.

A dark, low sound of absolute triumph rumbled deep in Tiger’s throat at the gesture.

Outside, the monsoon thunder rolled across the film city, shaking the glass of the vanity windows, but inside, the world had narrowed down entirely to the heat of skin against skin, the heavy rhythm of racing pulses, and the dangerous, breathless promise of the long, stormy night waiting just beyond the door.
